Yes! Tis I, Paulina Bonsu Donkoh.
I’m back again with the latest review of Enola Holmes 3.
I watched it today, 1 July 2026, whilst my handsome baby boy slept peacefully on my bosom. That’s the only time I get to use my phone, by the way, and I made better use of that peace and quiet to lighten my heart with a good watch.
What Is Enola Holmes 3 About?
Enola Holmes 3 sees Enola in Malta, preparing to marry Lord Tewkesbury, only for her wedding to be derailed when Dr. Watson reveals that Sherlock has been kidnapped.
Was it an interesting watch?
Yes, cross my heart to forever tell the truth—it was remarkably good.
And just as I did in my previous blog post on the premiere of Enola Holmes 3, I’m going to review it based on these four criteria: Action, Wedding, Love, and Heartbreak.
So, let’s get right to it.
1. Action

Well, just like the movie trailer promised, Enola Holmes 3’s action scenes didn’t disappoint.
It’s amazing to see how, in the third film, Enola has grown physically, mentally, and emotionally. Her physical strength and stamina are well demonstrated in the risks she takes to save her loved ones.
2. Wedding

A good love story always reaches its climax with a well-anticipated wedding.
I was so sure that Enola was not cut out to be a wife so soon with her new status and career as a detective.
If we’re being honest, most women in male-dominated fields do struggle to balance work and marriage because society and the work environment require so much from them to prove they are capable and worthy of the opportunity, while their male counterparts are often shown more grace.
Because of this, many women’s marriages fail—not because of negligence, but because of the constant pull on their energy from both of their “duties.” Eventually, one of them suffers.
But it isn’t that Enola (Millie Bobby Brown) doesn’t love Viscount Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge). No, she’s madly in love with him. You can see that just by the way she talks about him to the audience.
But in the era she lives in, she’s even more burdened with proving herself as a female detective, and a good one at that. To occupy that role while also being a wife—and one day, a mother—combined with the risks of being a detective, it’s only proper that she gets cold feet.
It’s a big step for her, and her brother, Sherlock (Henry Cavill), heightens that fear even more.
3. Heartbreak
Enola doesn’t always mean for bad things to happen, but they do anyway.
Bad things seem to follow her curiosity, and people—including her loved ones—get hurt in the process of uncovering the truth, even when she doesn’t intend for it to happen.
Although Enola’s actions hurt Viscount Tewkesbury, it’s only his heart and the love he has for her that help him get through it and forgive her.
4. Love

I nearly screamed when I thought some important characters in the movie wouldn’t get a happy ending.
However, I loved how they evolved, worked through their issues, and made the decision every Enola Holmes 3 fan was dying to see happen.
My Final Rating
Overall, I’m going to rate this movie 8/10.
Not because it was a bad movie, but because I felt some scenes were rushed and could have been extended so the audience could experience every moment together with the characters.
Also, I thought Tewkesbury could have been given more dialogue and a bigger role in resolving the conflict in the movie, which would have made the ending even better.
But overall, it was super good, and you wouldn’t regret watching it.
The Biggest Lesson from Enola Holmes 3
The most important lesson in this movie is that evil cannot defeat family bonds, no matter how broken they may be.
Where there is love, there is a conqueror.
Do have a good watch, and come back to share your thoughts in the comments.
I can’t wait to hear what you think.
